I think there is someting wrong with you drinving. Engine type? Shift at ? RPM? Speed on the highway?

I share the car with my wife. It doesn’t matter who drives it, the usage is about 10 l/km. For the latest few thousands km we did not drive on highways and the usage did not change. For our other car (Honda FR-V) the usage is similar to what is in the book, so it can’t be the driving or anything else you sugest, I think. So, for Opel Adam the usage (in the book) is between 5 and 7, and I experience 10, and for Honda FR-V the usage (in the book) is 9.2 and I experience between 9 and 10. The FRV is 50% heavier and it makes no sence to have about the same usage as the Opel Adam.

I do not understand why the dealer is reductant to test the car…

        Hi,

I drive an Opel Adam bi-fuel for about an year now. The fuel consumption on LPG is between 10 and 11 l/km and the petrol is between 8 and 9 l/km. I complained few times with the Opel Driessen where I got the car but all the times I was send back saying that I must wait for the 5000 km, then the first 10000 km and now the 15000 km. The car is now driven for almost 14000 km and the average consumption doesn’t seems to go lower. It makes no difference with or without cruise control.

With a full gas tank I cannot drive 400 km. For example from Eindhoven to Enschede and back, I must tank 50 km or so before arriving back in Eindhoven, otherwise the car will swith on petrol.

Does anyone get usages lower than mine?

A full tank with gas, if the gas metter is on zero, will usually not take more than 37 litters, but ones it went up to 39 litters (I think it depends on the pressure of the big tank at the gas station). I try to use gas from difefrent sources, even Belgium or Germany. There is no change in average consumption.

How do I convince the Opel guys that something may be wrong with the engine or the engine settings?

Thank you for any answer. Sorry to write all this in English. My Dutch is ruddimentary… :-)

        Ionel (from Eindhoven)
