Firmware update

Download the file from the Peugeot forum page indicated above,

Unzip the file to an empty USB drive formatted in FAT32.

Engine on, Start & Stop off and preferably off:

Plug your smartphone into one of the USB jacks and put it in USB connection sharing mode. This avoids the incompatible hardware error (thanks to fabdu68200 and harmattan17 for this essential information).

Place the USB stick in the other USB socket. Ignore the “unrecognized media” message that indicates no audio file on the key. The update starts and continues for more than 30 minutes before a Navi 5.0 reboot. Of course, do not remove the Usb key until the update is complete.

Since the operation is more risky than updating the map, I think it is prudent to only perform the operation at a standstill to avoid any interruption of the update process.

Various tips

A press of more than 8s on the telephone key allows the Reset of the system. Can be useful in case of system crash !!!

Pressing the Navigation key for more than 5 seconds displays GPS information (Number of visible satellites, instant coordinates, etc.). The icing on the cake, it is possible, from this screen, to memorize these instantaneous coordinates. Useful for storing an unknown place in the system database.
