Rekord V8 TwinTurbo uit Noorwegen

This car is a 1972 Opel Rekord and is fitted with a V8 twinturbo engine These pictures are from the Evo3 version featuring an Chevy 302 with Garret T04 turbos, Zytek Formula 1 engine management system, Carillo rods, Wiseco pistons, Brodix Heads, Jesel Gear drive and rockers, Competetion cam etc. This engine dynoed 880 hp at 5000 rpm. It is supposed to rev 7000, but when dynoed the wastegates couldn’t keep up with the boost (1,75 kg and rising) so further runs were aborted. The gearbox is 3 speed TH-400 with a Gear Vendor Overdrive on all gears. This car has run the 1/4 mile at 12,0/140mph. The high ET is caused by the Ford 9″ 2,75 final drive.The car is currently undergoing further modifications as Kinesis 18″ wheels, Brembo brakes F:378mm/8 piston R:315mm/4 piston. Engine target: 1200 hp and some serious aerodynamic work. Top speed around 400 km/h

Kijk dat is nou de hoogte waarop een B Commodore / D Rekord zich op moet voortbewegen. Geweldig wat een looks maar gelukkig ook de power om het te onderstrepen.
