Hi tnx for your reply. I live in Zaandam/Amsterdam area.
Do you or anyone know about an universeel auto bedrijf in this area where I can have both the balans ketting and the nokkenas ketting voor ongeveer 850 tot 1100 euro kunnen vervangen.

At the moment I am still confused. Some garages say the ketting only needs to be changed if there is a noise.
I have no noise at the moment. No warnings in the dashboard. The only problem is that the engine vibrates slightly but the car drives perfect.

Any advice will be gladly welcomed

The problem may indeed be the balansketting. Can I change the balansketting only without changing the distributieketting?
Of course maybe it is better to change both (distributie and balans) but I would prefer to change only what is necessary.
If I change both it will costs me about 1300 euros and if I change balansketting only it can cost me 900 euro. What is your advise? What do you think is a normal price for changing both chains. I thought that the distributie/balansketting was ‘onderhoudsvrij’ therefore I only want to change what I think is the problem.
FYI the kettingen was nooit vervangen. Thank you in advance for the reply
