i must admit i had a dash mat when i got it that was the first thing to go…..as it was a brown, like the original two tone colour scheme i had in it. i also had original brown vinyl seats that went. i have replaced them with series 2 VL Calais (blue/grey). that’s why my carpet is still brown. the dash, roof trim also painted. anyways in the hot weather il have a sun shade i put up to cover the dash but im thinkin of getting another. thanks for everyone’s comments.
MonzaRon thank you for putting my pics up hehe …. mine as i have said a slow project. not sure were you got the info and getting it off ebay? i got it off my boyfriends grandma as stock for $ 1000.:) oh and petrol today is 113.9 unleaded per liter.

gse,i couldn’t have sold it better myself (even if we are getting off the original post) the flies annoy the crap out of you by the end of your trip you will be a expert in the aussie salute. lol. im personally 20 mins from torquay (very good beaches) and 40-60 mins from Melbourne. 4hrs away is snow in winter and over the other way is a old growth forest (i think im extremely lucky.) today was sunny 20.c we are into spring with warm one day/week cold the next ah Victoria unpredictable.
i love the Brocky monza. i wish it was put into production over here. i would love to have a coupe commodore, i have only seen pics not the real thing.
i have no idea about how to do my avatar or posting a pick yet please be patient.:)i my self have always loved cars all my friend think is strange that a girl could like them as much a guy but who can resist a lumpy v8. im not into the turbo side yet i could get there i dont like the pop off values and the people who put a 3in cannon on the back of their stock car to sound like a fart (sorry to those who drive and could be offended it just my personal opinion). i prefer to see chrome out of the bonnet like a super charger and the glimmer belts sound. my partner has just brought some for his torana (1976 Holden, i will post some pics if you like when i know how.) i love and always wanted a vc commodore because of the square shape i dont like the roundness (soft lines) of the new cars.
i could go on….ahhh the 5lt out of a vn they are fun. (i prefer a carbie to efi.);)hi all im very new to this forum and its nice to see a familiar car in front of me in the first post. i myself have a 1979 VB Holden Commodore, they are awesome its nice to see that people over the world still love old girls. im running a straight six in mine thats a 3.3 liter, with LPG gas.:thumbup
