De uitval van vanmiddag had te maken met een DDos aanval op meerdere servers in het datacentrum in Rotterdam.
Volgens onze serverhoster zouden alle problemen opgelost moeten zijn.
With great sadness I have to say we have had some serious network problems again today, from 4:06 PM until 6:40 PM CET.
It started with a DDOS that came in around 3:50 PM which we nullrouted and everything remained stable again. 15 minutes later, our entire core switching crashed and refused to come back online. We have rebooted it, tried switching over to the second core but it didn’t make any difference.
After further investigation, our network team noticed that the LAG (20 Gbit trunk we have in place right now) was configured incorrectly. Apologies for the technical explenation, but it was configured in a dynamic setup which caused both ports to block connectivity. When it was re-configured as a static setup, everything started to come online again, rack-by-rack. Some packet loss might have occured, but after a few minutes after this change, everything was stable and up again.
