Hello.
Ik heb een 1976 Opel Kadett City.
Ik moet om het te krijgen gespoten.
Ongeveer hoeveel zou een overgespoten kosten?
Het lichaam heeft enige licht oppervlakteroest plaatsen. Geen gaten of slecht schade. Het is opgeslagen meeste de levensduur.
Kun je raden of iemand een garage? Overal in België of Nederland.
Excuses voor mijn niveau van het Nederlands, ik ben een Ierse man, woonachtig in Brussel.
Dank u.
9 juli 2012 om 11:23 #18045604Je mag je vraag ook in het Engels stellen, dat doen er wel meer, is geen probleem.
(You can ask your question in English if you want, you are not the only one who would do that).

I was wondering how much it would ‘approximately’ cost to respray a Opel Kadett City? And if anyone knew of a person/ garage that might spray it for me?
The body is in good condition, only some very light rust dots here and there. Nothing heavy and nothing that has rotten through. A light rub down should do to prep it.
9 juli 2012 om 14:18 #18045608It depends on the preparation, do you want to outsource that to the paint shop or will you do it yourself?
If I were you, I would ask some offers of different painters and then try to find out which quality they deliver.
I have no experience with paint shops in Belgium.9 juli 2012 om 14:24 #18045609@RISL wrote:

I have no experience with paint shops in Belgium.I would get the paint shop to do the preparation also – i wouldn’t be knowledgeable enough to do that, i also don’t have a garage space.
Just to start budgeting / saving … how much would i be looking at? 1000, 2000 or more euros?
Thanks for the replies RISL ;)
9 juli 2012 om 14:31 #18045610A complete respray with preparation will cost you about €1500 to €2000, I think. Off course there will be cheaper painters, but you’ll see that in the end result.
Have you thought about wrapping the car?
9 juli 2012 om 14:39 #18045611No! Brilliant idea!
Is it a lot cheaper ?
Any idea where i could get that done? Even if it’s in The Netherlands.
Excited about this prospect! Thanks for the suggestion !
9 juli 2012 om 14:48 #18045612It’s a lot cheaper but it won’t protect your car against the weather like paint does.
and your car hasnt got any paint on it, or does it ?

Hey Petrolhead !
Yes, my car has the original 1976 paint, it’s never been touched. The original owner lived by the sea so there’s lots of little rust dots / splashes. I would love to save the original paint but I’m afraid the rust might only get worse over time… and i don’t want to take any chances.
What’s a lot cheaper, 500 euro?
9 juli 2012 om 15:29 #18045614i don’t know how the paint wil last over a longer period of time under the wrap.
but the cost depend on wether you do it yourself or somebody does it for you…
if you do it for yourself, the Brand 3M makes a really goodlooking and easy to use foil.
something like this; http://www.stickerland.nl/losse-stickervellen/wrapfolie-152x100cm-p-2853.html” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false;
you only have to order the correct dimensions.
and watch youtube for tutorials..
