Hello everyone,
Sorry I am publishing this problem in English, but I think it is better for me to explain my problem this way
Yesterday at noon I had a problem with my Opel Astra-G-CC Automatic
The engine wouldn’t start at first and there was no sound that the starter was even trying to start the engine. I called the ANWB and they helped me by only knocking something with a long stick behind the motor and actually it worked! :applause02:
But then later at night I had another problem that the starter was working but the motor was not starting at all .. and even if it starts it shuts down in less than a second .. and the engine light starts to blink on the tableau .. the light is something like this:
I called the ANWB again, and the man told me that I have a problem with the ECU and the code was P1604 .. and he could do nothing more with it!
Would anyone please point me out with the exact problem?
And if I took it to a garage how much approximately would it cost me?Thank you so much in advance

Did you lost your key transponder?
Anyhow, your startmotor is f….
LE: pointing out to the exact problem.
While most garages struggle with finding problems even with the car in front, are you so optimistic to expect from a forum to point you to the exact problem? Lets be serious.

I am sorry but I didn’t understand what do you mean by immo active :)
And actually I didn’t lose my key transponder, but actually I have three keys, and I was trying the second key for the first time and it sometimes get loose. Does it have an effect on the startmotor?
Plus, the startmotor has a perfect sound .. and it starts the motor sometimes as I mentioned before but the motor shuts down in a few moments.
And no I am not, but I thought there might be someone who had the same problem!
Thanks for your response anyways
12 november 2017 om 14:08 #18349964During key contact on, ecu and immobiliser exchange data to confirm that the key transponder is the right for the vehicle.
If this data exchange fails, it will set the engine malfunction light in blinking mode. Another mode for blinking lamp is on engine misfire.
This is what means immo active, it means ecu blocks the engine start. You can try forever, it will not run.
Why this is now an issue on your car, nobody here will now for sure, let me try a few options and I am pretty sure you give this to an responsible garage which has some brains:
– ecu internal immo wire broken
– contact slot defect, it does not switch off
– immo ring plug defect, resistance in contacts
– immo ring defective
– lost transponder (you may try with 3 keys, if you keep them on the same ring, which one transponder should pick up)
You haven’t mentioned what engine has your car.
If you think your start motor is still ok, you are terrible wrong.
